Q. What is CamCORS?

CamCORS (Cambridge Colleges’ Online Reporting of Supervisions) is a web-based application developed, maintained, and supported by CASC, on behalf of the Senior Tutors’ Committee.  CASC is part of OIS, which is a company wholly owned by all the Colleges.

CamCORS is an online system for providing feedback to Students and Colleges on Students’ supervisions, both Tripos and non-Tripos related, and for claiming payment for this work.  It can also be used to claim for payment for other academic related work such as setting and marking of exams.

Q. How do I contact the Colleges?

If you need to contact a College to discuss a Student, enquire about submit deadlines, chase a payment, for example, you can find:

  • Links to the College, DoS and Tutor on every Report,
  • Links to the College and their webpage (if they have one) on the Payments page, and
  • All college email contacts and webpage links for CamCORS listed on Lookup > College Information

Q. How do I get a Raven account?

Al users of CamCORS must have a Raven account.

Raven accounts are provided by University Information Services (UIS).  Contact your College or Department IT office, or UIS, for help with Raven.

Q. How can I provide feedback on the CamCORS?

Feedback on CamCORS to report bugs or help us make improvements to the system is welcome.  There is a link to provide feedback in the footer of every page in CamCORS.

Q. How do I get help?

Contact your College, if you have one, or the CamCORS helpdesk help@camcors.cam.ac.uk for support.

Q. Where do I find CamCORS?

CamCORS can be accessed at https://apps.casc.cam.ac.uk/ors.

Q. How long will my data be kept?

The Data Retention period has been set by Project Board.  Data is deleted if it relates to an Academic Year 10 years older than now.  For example, if the current Academic Year is 2023-2024 then the oldest Reports in CamCORS will be for Academic Year 2013-2014.

Q. How long will unsubmitted claims be kept?

Unsubmitted Claims (Reports and General Claims) will be deleted if they relate to a Term before the start of the previous Academic Year.

For example, in Academic Year 2023-24, all Draft and Returned Claims for Academic Year 2021-22 or before will be deleted.

Q. Can I see photos of all my students?

You can only see photos of students if you have already created a report for them.

Clicking on ‘Gallery’ opens a new tab showing photographs of all the Students for each selected record in the search results.  You can further filter on the Gallery page.

The photographs are pulled from the University Photograph database.  If no photograph is found, or the photograph interface is temporarily unavailable, then a default silhouette image is shown.

Q. What are the software requirements for CamCORS?

You should be using an up-to-date browser for CamCORS to work properly.

If you use Safari, then you need version 16.4 or later. Safari is updated by updating MacOS.
