Delete stale reports

This is not vital but is a quick task to carry out on the ‘Delete Stale Report Forms’ page in v6.

Update your student visa holder list

Use the menu item 'Manage Tier 4 Visa Holders’ to upload a list of student visa holders if you have not already done so for this year.

Decide what to do with submitted, unapproved reports from before 2022-23

It will help you enormously if you deal with these in v6.  I will send a separate email to those Colleges that are affected by this.

 

Return your list of Senior Tutors, Tutorial Officers and Finance Officers

We are waiting for 15 Colleges to confirm their users.  Please return your list of users as soon as you can.

 

Inform your students

Directors of Studies, Tutors and Supervisors have been sent emails informing them of the dates that CamCORS will be unavailable.  You may wish to inform your students that CamCORS will be unavailable between 22nd December and the start of Lent Term, and that it will be a new version when it returns.

 

Make a note of the general non-supervision categories you have enabled in v6

Keep a note of these to help you set up new categories in v7.

 

Between 22nd December and go live

Review the General Claim Categories you will need in v7

You can use the UAT system to see how you might configure your categories.

 

Ensure that CamSIS student and advisor data is up-to-date

CamCORS student and advisor data will only be taken from CamSIS for v7.   The students that have a plan or sub-plan that CamCORS recognises will be taken from CamSIS.  For example, JYA and Erasmus students may need to have sub plans that are ‘not entered for exam’. 

If you have students that are not ‘standard’ check if they are in the UAT system.  If not, and their CamSIS records are correct, please contact us with the USNs of the students.

 

Set up a College webpage with information for supervisors, directors of studies, etc

When CamCORS 7 is available you will be able to update your College preferences with the URL of a College webpage detailing any information you want to include for supervisors and other CamCORS users, such as internal deadlines for submissions and approval, and payment run dates.  You may want to set this up beforehand.

 

Request Course Co-ordinators for your College

If your College has users who want to view reports for students across subject areas, for example all Natural Science students taking Chemistry, please get in touch about setting them up as Course Co-ordinators.

 

After go live

Configure General Claim Categories for your College

Configure your categories in v7.

 

Check your College preferences

Check the preferences page and enter the URL of the College webpage you have set up for supervisors.

 

Check your data

Check as much as you can, such as you have all your students, particularly those who are not ‘standard’, such as postgraduates, visiting students, those intermitting, etc.
